Kelly has been writing contemporary romantic fiction since 2021. Her short story “Glass Slippers are Stupid”, a rom-com spin on Cinderella, received an Honorable Mention in Elegant Literature’s March 2023 issue. In July, her debut novel NEVER NOT YOURS won the 2024 Stiletto Contest for Unpublished Women’s Fiction. She has a BS in Political Science and a Masters in Teaching.

Deeply impacted by ADHD, anxiety, and depression, she reflects her struggles in her main characters and has found writing about them to be illuminating and transformative. Kelly lives in the Pacific Northwest where she taught high school math for 17 years. When she’s not writing, she spends her time reading, hiking, doing yard work, or enjoying her time with her husband, their two kids, and their energetic rescue pup, Addie.
