Elizabeth Ashley Holtsclaw is the author of “Letters to Sam” an epistolary historical fiction novel which takes place during the dynamic American 1960’s and early 1970s. With a degree in history and a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago she couples her improv comedy background with these experiences to channel strong character voices and inserts comedy into even the hardest of subjects. Elizabeth is a voracious reader, storyteller, a true lover of social history and historical fiction. She loves pierogi, the beautiful Rochester, NY lilacs and a mild Louisville autumn. She lives in Louisville with her husband, two children, and to many pets who all make her laugh daily. She’s currently writing “The Story of Marigold: Memoirs of the Face of Gen X”.
