Karen Cimms is an international bestselling author of contemporary romance and romantic comedy. Her stories can be dark and gritty or laugh-out-loud funny; and sometimes, a little of both.

Karen’s writing history began as a child when she’d rewrite the endings of her favorite books. When that didn’t pan out financially, she eventually stumbled her way into what became a long and rewarding career as a journalist and editor. In 2019, having experienced enough of the “real world,” Karen left the newsroom to focus on her first love, fiction.

These days, she finds telling stories and creating characters and the worlds they live in far more satisfying than writing the news. After all, who doesn’t need an escape?

Born and raised in New Jersey, Karen currently lives in rural Pennsylvania but still thinks of the Garden State as home. When she’s not writing, she’s usually reading, but you can also find her decorating, gardening, or trying out a new recipe.
